Ein 16 jähriger Sohni Steffen

16 Jahre

Das ist auch schon wieder 4 Tage her.

Der war doch letztens noch so klein und jetzt ist er schon größer als ich. Wo sind die 16 Jahre nur geblieben? Und nächstes Jahr kann er schon den Führerschein machen.

Switched to Foxmarks

I came across this article and found the pointer to Foxmarks very interesting. I had some annoying experiences with Google Browser Sync as well. Up to now the experience with Foxmarks was indeed very pleasant.

I already use some of the mentioned extensions from the “Pimp Your Firefox” article (Mouse Gestures, ScribeFire, Tab Mix Plus). Due to the article I also installed Foxytunes, which looks really nice. However I found, that I don’t use it very much. A special key on the keyboard wired to Amaroks Pause/Play function is basically all I need. I would like a button, that would pop up Amaroks playlist window.

Interestingly some of the “Pimp Your Firefox” extension are also on this list of “Zehn Firefore-Erweiterungen, die keiner braucht” (Ten Firefox extensions nobody needs) from the German computerwoche.de.

Long Time No Write

Well, I haven’t written anything here for some time. Each day I’m thinking today evening I’m going to sit down and write about the few interesting things I’ve been fiddling with, but in the end the day has passed without anything being written. This has been going on for weeks now.

In general I’m not in a very positive mood. Work doesn’t really provide any really interesting challenges. Even the contrary, some things at work make me more than a little angry. The summer has been a complete failure with lots of rain.

Well, enough whining and on to something more interesting …

Harry Potter 7 finished

Well, I couldn’t put it down until I had it finished and that was about 1 o’clock this morning. Nice end. I like it. Wraps it all up very nicely. Considered, that the alarm clock went off 1 hour too early, because I forgot to correct from yesterdays very early rise I’m not quite in the fittest state today.

Back to the daily drag.

Summer holidays are over, kids are back to school. And the daily routine restarts. Take care, that the kids have their stuff for school, taxiing them here and there. All the usual stuff to keep the family going. Although the summer is not yet really over, I feel it’s already going downhill. The weather was only mediocre until now. Is there something like the end of summer depression? If yes, then I definitely have it.
